Jamie Anderson (snowboarder)

Jamie Louise Anderson is an American professional snowboarder. She won the gold medal in the inaugural Womens Slopestyle Event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. She has won gold medals in slopestyle at the Winter X Games in consecutive years in 20078 and 20123.

Anderson was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, California, the fifth of eight children. She snowboarded for the first time at age nine, and immediately fell in love with the sport. Anderson was homeschooled, allowing her to spend almost every day on the mountains.
